As a local small business, giving back to our community is as important to us as serving our customers. To show our appreciation for London and its community, we commit ourselves to sponsoring and volunteering at charity events and fundraisers throughout the year. Our team works closely with organizations benefiting causes like children’s health, veteran care, and more.
Jeff Dunlop IDS Scholarship

In celebration of the memory of Jeff Dunlop, IDS has partnered with the London Junior Knights to unveil the Jeff Dunlop Leadership Award. Jeff Dunlop was a valued member of the London Junior Knights organization and the London community.
The Jeff Dunlop Leadership Award is not meant to commemorate the best hockey player in goals or points scored, but rather a team player who brings hard work and positivity to every practice. This annual award will go to a young hockey player in Major Peewee or Minor Bantam who displays distinguishable qualities like work ethic, leadership, and dedication.
Transplant Trot
The Transplant Trot is a Canadian Transplant Association signature event held in April, throughout various communities across the country. The London 5k run/3k walk is named in Leslie Petter’s memory. Leslie, a bone marrow transplant recipient, was instrumental in organizing the first Transplant Trot in London in 2011, and is remembered as an amazing friend, teacher, mentor and accomplished athlete.
At IDS, many of us have been personally touched by the altruistic gift of organ donation, and there are currently over 4,500 patients waiting for an organ transplant in Canada alone. We’ve supported the Transplant Trot promoting awareness, since day one by donating prizes and volunteering our time at the event.
Everyone is invited to join transplant recipients, donor and donor families, friends, families and supporters, to celebrate the success of organ and tissue donation in one of London’s largest awareness events. Watch for the 2019 event details coming soon.

The Children’s Health Classic is an annual golf tournament benefiting the Children’s Health Foundation. Proceeds from this event go toward Children’s Hospital, Thames Valley Children’s Centre, and Children’s Health Research Institute to help fund research, develop treatments, and ultimately save lives.
IDS is a donor and sponsor for the Children’s Health Classic. Together with the other donors, volunteers, and participants, we helped raise over $500,000 for this cause in 2018.
Every year, the London Health Sciences Foundation selects a local cause to honour at the Country Classics Auction. This event features a live and silent auction, games, sit-down dinner, cash donations, and rounds out with a surprise musical performance. The proceeds raised from the Country Classics Auction go toward raising awareness for and supporting the chosen cause.
In past years, the Country Classics Auction has raised over $200,000 and we hope that figure will continue to rise at future events. We’re proud to show our support for the London Health Sciences Foundation and their worthy causes each year, so you can always find the IDS team at this annual fundraiser wearing our best cowboy hats and flannel.
